TALISMAN

A talisman is anything whose presence exercises a remarkable or powerful influence. In this seasonal narrative, the complex mysteries of the universe are translated into accessories that are affected by form and function as they are mythical motifs, magical relics, and superstitious occurrences. Much of this narrative is also based on the Australian Aboriginal mythology known as "The Dreaming." These are beliefs that explain the questions of ultimate human reality. Aboriginal way of life was also based on their relationship with the land — which was their origin, substance, and their ultimate destiny. They in turn, saw it as their duty to look after the land and take only what they needed. As an important evolution of the previous seasons' outdoorsy looks, Talisman is less about bold colors and campground classics, and more about the clothing and accessories with an authentic connection to the world around us.
